CM Punk has commented on rumours linking him with a WWE return at Survivor Series 2023 during his first major media appearance since departing AEW last month.

Speaking on the Bernstein & Holmes show for Chicago's 670 The Score, Punk, when asked about Survivor Series, commented (h/t Fightful):

"They're asking if I'm going to be there? I think it's sold out. I think tickets are hard to get."

WWE had sold an impressive 15,340 tickets for Survivor Series by WrestleTix's last count (26 October). The premium live event takes place in Rosemont, Illinois' Allstate Arena on Saturday, 25 November.

On potentially working for WWE again, Punk stated that while he didn't want to burst anyone's bubble, he has been spending his time caring for his injured dog, Larry:

"I don't want to burst anybody's bubble. I'm kind of just sitting at home and enjoying this beautiful Chicago weather. I have an injury in the family. My dog [Larry] blew his dog ACL. I'm literally just spending my time with him. I know that sounds crazy, but he is my son, and I take care of him and treat him as such. Everything has kind of stopped. I'm fortunate to take time off from everything. I've canceled things I have coming up. Traveling is hard. It's tough to leave him here with my wife April [AJ Lee]. If there are two of us here taking care of him, it's easier."

AEW fired Punk with cause in early September, doing so after his backstage brawl with Jack Perry at All In the week prior.

WWE, meanwhile, reportedly turned down the opportunity to re-sign Punk in early October.
