CM Punk Buries Colt Cabana, Would Consider Podcast

Punk will do it on one condition: "Promise not to sue me."

It's been a busy old Easter weekend for CM Punk. Not only did the supposed wrestling messiah rise from his wrestling grave on Friday (admittedly a few days early) for a brief, banterful cameo at an indie show in Wisconsin, but he made a bit of a stir on social media in the early hours of Monday morning.

With interest in Punk spiking thanks to his masked intrusion, a fan took to Twitter to ask if he'd be interested in recording a podcast. After all, his last one was fairly entertaining.

Punk didn't entirely rule the idea out, but he did outline a few stipulations before he's take up the mic:

For those not au fait, Punk's less than subtle comments are barbs in the direction of Colt Cabana, who is currently embroiled in a court case with his former friend over unpaid legal fees. Punk allegedly promised to foot the bill for the pair's suit against WWE doctor Chris Amann - which itself stemmed from incendiary comments made on Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast - though according to the plaintiff, failed to follow through.

Cabana is now seeking $200,000 in damages for the 'emotional distress' caused by the ordeal.

In short: Punk won't do a podcast.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
