With Ring of Honor having made weekly announcements where it pertains to the inaugural ROH Hall of Fame class, the promotion has now confirmed CM Punk as the final inductee of this prestigious class. The Second City Saint joins the Briscoes, Bryan Danielson and Samoa Joe in making up the first group of names to be inducted into the ROH HOF.

Punk made his Ring of Honor bow back in September 2002, seven months after the company launched. His time with the promotion saw him hold the ROH World Championship and also pick up two ROH Tag Team Title reigns with Colt Cabana. Famously, Punk's 2005 departure from ROH was spun into the iconic Summer of Punk storyline that would be mirrored in WWE years later after his 'pipebomb' promo.

Like the rest of this inaugural HOF class, the Straight-Edge Superstar was pivotal in helping to establish Ring of Honor as such a buzz-worthy company during its early days - with the Chicago native having brilliant battles with the likes of Danielson, Joe, Raven, AJ Styles, Jimmy Rave, Steve Corino, Homicide and the aforementioned Cabana.

As part of their celebration of CM Punk, ROH has announced that a special episode of ROH TV will be dedicated to Punk's career this weekend. Following that, the Ring of Honor Hall of Fame will be featured on the 5 March episode of ROH.
