CM Punk's 10 Worst WWE Matches

7. CM Punk vs. Ryback And Paul Heyman (Hell In A Cell 2013)

At first, CM Punk's feud with Paul Heyman was the hottest thing going in all of WWE during the summer of 2013. The two masters of the mic created magic together whenever they engaged in a war of the words on the microphone. Punk's various clashes with Brock Lesnar were also excellent, and who can forget their epic encounter at August's SummerSlam pay-per-view? Unfortunately, the rivalry took a turn for the worst after that match with Lesnar disappearing from WWE TV and Ryback serving as his temporary replacement. Punk and Ryback had a handful of enjoyable matches together one year prior, so many fans had high hopes for the renewal of their rivalry last fall. They had a less-than-stellar effort at Battleground, but their Hell in a Cell rematch was expected to be better. Unfortunately, it didn't even come close to topping their barely above average HIAC match from 2012, and that's saying something. Heyman didn't even play a factor in the finish, as he spent the entire match atop the cell awaiting his eventual beating from Punk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWZx3TfF8Kk Yes, the structure served its purpose in blowing off a longtime feud, but the match was anything but memorable, or at least for the right reasons. It wasn't even 10 minutes before the bout was over, and Ryback hardly got any offense in at all. It was a poor showing from both Superstars and an indication that pairing them back up again was a mistake.
