Cody Returns With New Look On AEW Dynamite

The American Nightmare is back! And he's gone goth...

Cody is back in AEW after an absence of more than a month, attacking The Dark Order on last night's episode of Dynamite.

This went down after Brodie Lee had successfully defended the TNT Championship he took from Cody against Orange Cassidy. The lights cut, Cody's music hit, and out came 'The American Nightmare,' beating up John Silver and especially Alan '5' Angels, who was subjected to a longer beatdown. Meanwhile, Lee hit the backstage area with the rest of the Dark Order.

Brodie cut a furious promo on Cody shortly after, ripping into him for taking him away from the company, then challenging him to a Dog Collar match for the TNT Title, giving him only a week to respond. We'll likely hear what Cody has to say about that on next week's show.

Gone was Cody's signature blonde hair, replaced by jet black. He was also clad in an all-black suit broken only by some detailing on his tie.

This was the first time Cody has appeared on AEW television since Lee beat him for the TNT Championship on 22 August. Lee has since defeated his brother, Dustin Rhodes, having beaten most of The Nightmare Family down in the aftermath.
