Cody Rhodes Says This Wrestler Will Be WWE's Next "Big Time Player"

It takes a top guy to know a top guy! Cody Rhodes says this WWE man has a bright future.

Cody Rhodes thinks JD McDonagh has every chance to become a "big time player for WWE at some point", and he's been impressed by what the Judgment Day hopeful has achieved since moving up from NXT.

Speaking via the new 'Gabby AF' podcast, Cody also joked about the size of JD's head by saying: "His head’s giant. I mentioned the Funko pop thing. No doubt, it’s far beyond the size of his body!". That was just a giggle - Rhodes is very high on McDonagh, and reckons he could surprise some with his work long-term.

Trying to get on Damian Priest's good side and burrow his way into Judgment Day has definitely worked for JD as a character on Raw. The man actually has purpose, which isn't always a given when wrestlers are promoted from NXT to the main roster.

Rhodes likes what he's seeing then, and that took him by surprise. Cody said he didn't have high or low expectations for McDonagh on the flagship, but went on to call him "one of the most impressive call ups" in WWE history.

That's some statement.
