Cody Rhodes Shoots On Eventual WWE Heel Turn

You won't be seeing "cool heel" Cody Rhodes on WWE TV any time. Ever.

Cody Rhodes has zero interest in becoming a "cool heel" on WWE TV. The reigning poster boy fielded questions about potentially turning heel someday during an interview with The Pivot, and Cody had some interesting answers. In fact, he went off on a bit of a mini-rant about how "hard" it is to be a proper heel in 2024.

Rhodes also said that fans hoping he'll turn heel someday might not be ready for the "scorched earth" that follows. He wouldn't want to sell merchandise, hear any cheers from live crowds or pander to fans at all. If Cody's going to go rogue, then he'll be all in and more similar to a traditional wrestling heel like JBL.

That news might change some people's minds and stop the wish-listing.

Cody took some time out during the interview to praise The Rock for his recent heel work too. He said that most people are "uncomfortable in that spot" because few actually enjoy being disliked. However, Rocky embraced the hate and knew his character was trying to take something away that people cherished (Rhodes' WrestleMania 40 spot).

That's the kind of heel Cody would want to be.
