Cody Rhodes Teases THIS WWE Return Soon
WWE's Cody Rhodes says fans shouldn't "rule out" this ex-AEW star's return.
Cody Rhodes has said he "wouldn't rule out" a WWE return for wife Brandi sometime in the near future.
The Royal Rumble winner is preparing for the biggest bout of his life vs. Roman Reigns at next month's WrestleMania 39, but told Ryan Satin on 'Out Of Character' that Brandi could pop up on screen sooner rather than later.
"Definitely never say never", he added.
Brandi did work as a ring announcer for WWE before leaving the company alongside Cody and eventually becoming a key figure of management behind the scenes in AEW. However, she's never actually worked an in-ring match for WWE on TV or pay-per-view.
A mixed tag vs. Roman and a female partner sounds unlikely, but there'd be nothing stopping WWE from booking Cody and Brandi vs. others post-'Mania 39. That could happen whether Rhodes becomes the brand new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion or not.
Cody pointed out during the interview that neither he nor his wife need to follow one another around, but said she "absolutely loves" what he's doing in WWE these days. Could that pave the way for her to re-debut later this year?
