The CM Punk vs. Colt Cabana legal battle appears to be over.

This is according to David Bixenpsan of Forbes, who writes that "DISMISS BY STIPULATION OR AGREEMENT" appeared on the docket for Cabana's lawsuit against Punk, with Punk seemingly initiating it. Colt's lawyer, Carey Stein, has since confirmed the settlement.

The suit was opened shortly after the duo's legal victory over WWE doctor Chris Amann. Cabana wanted Punk to pay a $200,000 bill received from a new lawyer after being dropped by the firm that originally represented both of them, citing a text he'd received from the former WWE Champion saying "I'll make sure you're 100% covered." This went on until last Thursday (26 September), which is when the case was officially dismissed.

Does this mean the former best friends have mended fences? Not if Punk's Twitter activity is anything to go by:-

Punk's future is currently the subject of even crazier speculation than usual, with news that he'd impressed during an audition for WWE's upcoming studio show, Backstage, and would likely be offered a position with FOX breaking last week. This probably won't be his only headline-making moment on this crazy week of wrestling.
