Trish Stratus will return to WWE for a one-off appearance on Wednesday 29 December.

The promotion hits Toronto in Stratus' home state of Ontario, Canada as part of its holiday tour that night. Trish has confirmed via her official website that she will serve as the guest host, having released a short statement on the matter:-

Trish Stratus is ready to serve some holiday Stratusfaction to the WWE Universe in Toronto. The Hall of Famer returns for one night only to host WWE's live event on Wednesday, December 29th at the Coca-Cola Coliseum. "Excited to step through that curtain and feel the energy of the WWE Universe one more time. Let's do this Toronto!" Tickets and Superstar Experiences are on sale now!

Stratus has been in and out of WWE several times over the past few years, having last competed at SummerSlam 2019, where she lost what was billed as her final wrestling match to Charlotte Flair. She has seemed open to the prospect of returning to the promotion in recent interviews, however.

Whether or not the home state comeback will lead to anything more substantial for the Hall of Famer is unclear, even with the "one night only" disclaimer in the above statement.
