Confusion Surrounds WWE Signing Hot Indy Prospect Kris Statlander

(Potentially) huge if true.

According to a report made by Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens - the preeminent, reputable source on all things women's wrestling - WWE has signed emerging prospect Kris Statlander to a deal.

Michael has since retracted the story, it should be pointed out, and what follows is speculation - but his very close connection to the Performance Center should trigger common sense. This feels like a no-smoke-without-fire situation, and perhaps not unrelated, several talents who have recently denied signing with WWE have ended up singing. It's how these things tend to go.

Again, speculation.

Statlander is a real talent - the rumours were met with near-anxiety of the "don't mess this up variety" in the taste-making subset of 'Wrestling Twitter' - and would prove to be am excellent addition to NXT's new golden age of women's wrestling.

Statlander is a wrestler of many talents: a technically capable powerhouse with an ability to dish out a credible-looking beating, she is equally willing to take one, as demonstrated by several eye-catching inter-gender performances opposite the likes of David Starr and Brian Cage.

Charismatic, and boasting a great look, Statlander Vs. Rhea Ripley, or Shayna Baszler, is real one to savour on the TakeOver stage.
