Conor McGregor Angers WWE Wrestlers On Twitter
Roman and The Boss fail to see the humor in Conor.
Conor McGregor is no stranger to controversy, but it's usually people within the world of mixed martial arts that draw his ire. Now the wrestling world has beef with him too.
In a conference call to hype UFC 202, McGregor was asked if he'd ever get in a wrestling ring and responded "For the most part, those WWE guys are p**ies. They're messed up pu***es if you ask me."
Predictably, this did not sit well with the WWE roster. Sasha Banks and Roman Reigns fired back on Twitter:
Conor then "apologized", which free agent Kurt Angle all wasn't too thrilled with either:
Conor is known to be a pretty big wrestling fan, so it's likely that he's just trying to work fans up for fun. When his UFC career comes to an end, it wouldn't be shocking to see him show up in WWE at some point.
Also, Roman's response was a little weak. Despite the fact that he's much smaller than the WWE star, Conor would likely maul him in seconds. Kurt Angle vs. McGregor in his prime, though, could have been one for the ages.
