One of Ring Of Honor's current title-holders debuted for All Elite Wrestling at last week's Dark tapings.

Josh Woods, the reigning ROH Pure Champion, wrestled Shawn Spears at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida last Friday (3 December). He ended up losing in what was his only bout during the show.

Woods, like the rest of his ROH colleagues, will become a free agent shortly after the promotion commences what is planned to be a four-month hiatus later in December. All contracted talent are being let go as part of an intended ROH revamp, with wrestlers already free to appear for other companies.

ROH mainstay Jay Lethal debuted for AEW at Full Gear 2021 in November, having signed a deal with the promotion prior to the event. Ring Of Honor wrestlers Jonathan Gresham and Matt Taven were backstage at last week's episode of Dynamite.

Woods, 32, has been ROH Pure Champion since taking the strap from Gresham on 12 September. He will defend the belt against Brian Johnson at Final Battle 2021 (11 December), which is ROH's last pre-hiatus show.
