The Wrestling Observer has doubled down on prior suggestions AEW star Penta could depart for WWE by reporting that the Lucha Bro is "open to leaving" once his contract ticks down.

It's unclear exactly how much time Penta has left under Tony Khan's umbrella, but it can't be very long if he's openly talking about moving on from All Elite sooner rather than later. Penta has been contracted to AEW since the promotion launched in 2019.

Before that, the masked man made a name for himself on Lucha Underground, then continued to earn rave reviews on the independent circuit and with IMPACT/TNA.

He's been a tag-team star (for the most part) in AEW alongside Lucha Bros partner Rey Fenix. Together, the pair has held AEW's core Tag-Team Titles as well as the World Trios belts alongside Death Triangle pal PAC. Soon, he could be snagging gold under WWE's watch too.

Stay tuned for more on this story when it breaks. Penta leaving AEW would be one thing. Seeing him join WWE would be another. Exciting times!
