Rhea Ripley has revealed that she was "centimetres away from just absolutely giving up" on WWE life a few years ago.

The Judgment Day member told FOX Sports Australia that she "was in this really dark place", and recalls "wanting it to all stop". More than anything else, Rhea just "wanted to go home", but managed to come through that period by doing some self-reflection on her own dreams.

Outside pressures were starting to get inside Ripley's head, so she had to take a step back and reevaluate why she wanted to be in WWE to begin with. Once she did that, Rhea snapped out of her funk and started moving forward again.

Fans will be glad she did, because Ripley is currently doing excellent work alongside Finn Bálor, Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio on Raw - the Dom storyline, in particular, is one she's visibly enjoying at the moment.

Criticism on social media weighed Rhea down for a while though, and she freely admits that. Nasty comments about her appearance happened daily, which was tough to take. Now, to her credit, Ripley says she’s grown to love herself more.
