Fans go back on forth on title reigns, but this WWE man says it's a must for him.

LA Knight knows why many fans de-emphasise the importance of constantly winning titles in today's industry, but has described grabbing belts as "necessary" for his own career rise.

The breakout WWE star told ReviewSTL that winning some titles might not be a must "from a popularity standpoint" (the guy knows he's already over), but it's "necessary" for what he "wants to accomplish" in the company; Knight also reckons fans, if they're being honest, covet workers who have held multiple championships.

That's especially true for the top prizes, so those are the ones LA is aiming for.

Of course, Roman Reigns currently has a stranglehold on the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins is rocking a workhorse gimmick over on Raw with the newer World Heavyweight gold. Their success might limit Knight's options, but he seems to believe it's inevitable that he'll win a title sooner rather than later.

Many have touted the midcard United States strap as perfect for LA right now. He didn't comment on that specifically, but does view belts as the next logical step in his rise up the ranks in WWE.
