Curt Hawkins's WWE Return Confirmed On Smackdown
Former Tag Team Champion on his way back to the company.
Rumours have been swirling for weeks that former WWE Tag Team Champion Curt Hawkins was one of the ex-superstars contacted to return to the company to fill out the rosters following the brand split. On Tuesday's Smackdown, the speculation became news with the airing of a vignette promising Hawkins's impending arrival.
The clip wasn't particularly original or good - entitled "Curt Hawkins Facts", it used recycled jokes that have circulated on the Internet for years and applied them to Hawkins. Through the course of the video, messages played such as, "Curt Hawkins counted to infinity... twice," "Curt Hawkins can slam a revolving door," and "Curt Hawkins doesn't flush the toilet - he scares the crap out of it".
Hawkins first debuted in the company in 2006, teaming with Zack Ryder. The pair became part of the new ECW roster as The Major Brothers, then came up to Smackdown where they joined forces with Edge and changed their names. In 2008, they briefly held the WWE Tag Team Titles, but the team split the following year.
Hawkins floundered from then until his 2014 release, but reigned as a TNA World Tag Team Champion last year.
