Daniel Bryan Hoping To Be Wrestling For WWE In January

Yes! Yes! Yes! .... but is his goal realistic?

Daniel Bryan has stated that he's hoping to be able to wrestle by January. The comment came as he appeared at the Levi's Stadium for an event to promote the WrestleMania tickets going on sale. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Bryan is hoping to be back with plenty of time to build a full program ahead of WrestleMania 31. Whether his hopes can fit in with reality is another question. His strength has still not returned in his right arm due to an ongoing nerve issue. He won't be able to return until the strength comes back. There isn't any immediate plans for surgery, as that's a last resort due to the fact it would necessitate even longer on the sidelines. It is still possible that he'll need the surgery but only time will tell. Creative have no plans for Byan and aren't thinking of him at this time. Can he really turn all of this around in the space two months and be back for January? He might hope so, but after six months out injured, there's little to suggest that he's getting better. If his January return aim fails, at that point he'll surely take the surgery route. If he could get back for January, then he'd undoubtedly be one of the biggest stars at WrestleMania 31. WWE are currently using him on the branding for the event, so perhaps they share his optimism for a comeback in time for the March 29th show. However, if he doesn't return for an in-ring role, he'd certainly be there for a character role in some fashion. It's all a big shame for the talented grappler. Last year he was the star of the show. Now he's lost so much momentum and the top spots in WWE have moved on without him. Whether he makes it back in January or not, next year will be all about Roman Reigns' rise to the WWE Championship.
