Daniel Bryan has not only been banished from SmackDown, but also from the WWE.com roster page.

Following his loss to Universal Champion Roman Reigns on last Friday's episode of SmackDown, the former 'American Dragon' was forced to leave the blue brand and never returned. He was at least booked to look strong on his way out, refusing to tap out and instead passing out to Reigns' guillotine choke submission a la Bret Hart and Stone Cold at WrestleMania 13.

Keeping to this stipulation, Bryan has been moved to WWE.com's alumni section, sitting nicely between Damien Sandow and Darren Young. This will mark the first time Bryan hasn't been featured on WWE programming, be it in-ring or as SmackDown general manager, since his summer 2010 release for choking Justin Roberts.

Fans have speculated with regards to what is next for Daniel Bryan, seeing as his WWE contract doesn't actually expire until September of this year.

A jump to either Raw or NXT seems most likely, while a move to the likes of All Elite Wrestling or New Japan Pro Wrestling appears off the cards for the time being. It's unlikely he'll ever make it to New Japan given that his neck is "wrecked". Don't expect to see Bryan taking any Tomohiro Ishii forearms any time soon.
