Bryan dropped a big "blood and guts" reference last night.

Daniel Bryan dropped what can only be interpreted as an AEW reference in a WWE.com exclusive interview shortly after last night's Elimination Chamber 2020 victory over Drew Gulak.

As well as putting 'The Philadelphia Stretcher' over huge after overcoming him in his hometown, Bryan said the following:-

"This is what I love about professional wrestling. I don't ever want to just go through the motions: I want to fight with my heart, I want to fight with blood and guts. That's what I wanna fight with!"

The "blood and guts" reference is obviously what's notable here. This was the term Vince McMahon used to disparage AEW in the aftermath of Double Or Nothing's sanguine-drenched Cody vs. Dustin Rhodes bout and the upstart promotion has since made it their own, even going as far titling their take on the classic WarGames match format after it.

Bryan's promo came less than 24 hours after AEW had announced that The Inner Circle will meet The Elite in the inaugural Blood and Guts match on 25 March.

A top spot of trolling from Bryan here. Stay tuned to this week's episode of Being The Elite for a potential response...
