Daniel Bryan's AEW Debut Reportedly Moved Forwards
AEW has reportedly decided to move the date of Daniel Bryan's company debut.
Bodyslam.net, who earlier broke news that Daniel Bryan was signing with the company, are now reporting that AEW plans to move Bryan's debut forwards.
Originally, Tony Khan planned to have D-Bry appear on the special 'Grand Slam' episode of Dynamite on 22 September. That New York show is set to be a biggie for AEW, so they naturally wanted to make it as huge as possible - there's also logic in spacing out Bryan's debut following the recent arrival of CM Punk.
Debuting them on back-to-back weeks of TV would've been senseless, basically.
Now, Bodyslam's Cassidy Haynes is claiming that Dan will debut at All Out on 5 September. Haynes says sources close to the situation have told him that AEW is concerned by recent COVID-19 spikes and new restrictions that are being imposed on New York City.
So, according to him, Khan will now usher Bryan into the All Elite fold on pay-per-view rather than on free television. It's likely that AEW's rapid fanbase will gobble his debut up regardless of when or where it happens, to be fair.
All Out just got a bit bigger.
