Daniel Bryan's WWE WrestleMania 36 Opponent Revealed?
Could Bryan be gearing up for a major 'Mania rematch?
Daniel Bryan could be lining up to face Sheamus at WrestleMania 36.
This is according to WrestlingNews.co's Paul Davis, who reports that there's talk within WWE that the promotion is considering putting this 'Mania 28 rematch together.
That infamous night saw the Irishman crush Bryan in 18 seconds. It was a shocking, outrageous outcome that ignited the fanbase with criticism, and that WWE is even thinking about pairing the two up again may not sit well with certain portions of the fanbase.
While controversial, that first Sheamus/Bryan 'Mania clash was an important moment in The Yes! Movement's genesis. It helped spark the groundswell of support that eventually brought Daniel all the way to the top a couple of years later. Yes, it would have been preferable to see this happen without the Sheamus sacrifice, though it all worked out well for Bryan in the end.
Sheamus has become a pushed commodity since returning from long-term injury, having squashed the likes of Apollo Crews and Shorty G in quick, decisive affairs. He's clearly somebody that WWE has big plans for at the moment. Could that mean beating Bryan? Potentially. Let's just hope it's a longer match this time.
