DDP Calls AEW Star 'This Generation's Ric Flair'

Diamond Dallas Page thinks this AEW wrestler is 2022's Ric Flair. Do you?

Diamond Dallas Page believes that Chris Jericho is this generation's very own version of Ric Flair.

The former WCW icon and World Champ told DAZN that AEW man Jericho also has "the greatest entrance in wrestling". Why? Well, DDP pointed to the fact that All Elite audiences regularly sing Chris to the ring whenever he appears on Dynamite, Rampage or AEW pay-per-view.

That, according to Page, is "the greatest compliment ever". Being fair, he thinks that comparing Jericho to the 'Nature Boy' is also right up there in terms of dishing out high praise.

His praise didn't stop there either - DDP also said that Jericho is "the most over guy in professional wrestling" right now, and he admires the way his old pal has repeatedly reinvented himself despite being in the business for over 30 years.

Jericho is currently locked in a frosty situation with Eddie Kingston and others on AEW programming. He's trying to convince Kingston to let him help in battles against Daniel Garcia and 2.0, but the typically ballsy Eddie isn't sold on some Inner Circle aid.

Page is enjoying that story too, it seems.
