Estranged WWE couple Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis were reunited on last night's NXT 2.0 show - only to be pulled apart by the long arm of the law moments later.

InDex, who had not been seen on camera together since April, came back together following a multi-part segment. Hartwell took a defeat to Blair Davenport, who was wrestling her first NXT match, preceding an in-ring angle featuring the debuting Meiko Satomura and Mandy Rose. The cameras then cut backstage for multiple short angles before returning to ringside, where Indi remained.

Sat on the apron, a despondent Hartwell claimed she had hit rock bottom in NXT 2.0 and blamed herself for this. Lumis then slid into the ring, locking eyes with his kayfabe bride before embracing her, then carrying Indi away from ringside. When they got backstage, Lumis gave Hartwell a folded note before he was arrested while attempting to leave the Performance Center.

Indi has since uploaded a photograph of said note:-

Lumis and Hartwell were established as an on-air couple in the summer of 2021, leading to their televised wedding on NXT's 7 December episode. This storyline met a cold ending when Dexter was released from WWE in April 2022.

The promotion has since brought Lumis back, though his actions had been restricted to Raw prior to last night. Dexter has been presented as a Monday night interloper, frequently interrupting matches and segments on Raw before being carted away by law enforcement, as was the case again last night.
