In a recent interview with Wrestling Inc., WWE superstar Doudrop has detailed Vince McMahon's initial pitch for her main roster character.

Of course, as Piper Niven, Doudrop had been in the WWE system since early 2019. Upon her arrival to the Raw brand in June of last year, though, McMahon wanted the Scot to embrace her happy, dancing side.

As Doudrop explained:

"It was really funny because he wanted me to come out and dance. I was like, 'I don't know if you looked all up in that CV, but it did not say dancer'. I was kind of like, 'What am I doing? I don't like this'. Then one day I got backstage and he goes, 'Goddammit, I see you out there shaking your ass all afternoon. Why can't you do it out there [in the ring]?'

The former Viper continued on:

"I was like, 'You've absolutely got me over a barrel there', because seeing me when I am rehearsing... When he said that, he was like, 'I just want the people to see your personality that we see back here'. I was like, 'Oh man, you have completely stunned me with that'. I totally got what he meant, and from that point that's when I started to get more comfortable with jumping around and dancing."

That main roster bow for Doudrop would seen her introduced as the muscle for Eva Marie's 'cup of coffee' return to the company, before she eventually split from the Red Queen and embarked on her own path.

As for that path, a heel turn soon followed when Doudrop attacked Bianca Belair. Whilst her battles with Belair went in favour of the E.S.T., Doudrop did recently find herself challenging for the Raw Women's Championship at this past weekend's Royal Rumble premium live event. There, she came up short against Becky Lynch, with Big Time Becks hitting a second-rope Manhandle Slam to put away her opponent.
