Obviously, no matter how whistle-stop the look at Flair's career has to be to condense everything, you have to have SOMETHING of Flair's feud with Eric Bischoff that culminated in him being appointed president of WCW almost right up to Vince McMahon's purchase of the company.

Their feud was another of the highlights of his career and another opportunity to see him overcoming a specific issue - this time when Bischoff and WCW sued him for no-showing a taping of Thunder so he could attend one of his son Reid's AAU national freestyle championship match in 1998. That was a personal beef that played out within the product.

And to see that storyline come out of Bischoff trying to force him to miss Reid's match, given what happened later and the impact it had on Flair seems an important story point. Having a young kid play Reid here for the match and to show his father doting on him would make for an important parallel point to his loss and Charlotte's later win at the end of the movie.

And for someone to play Bischoff? The ideal would definitely be Tom Cruise, but that would be remarkably expensive for a cameo and Cruise would have to be a big wrestling fan to do it. And since this is a fantasy world and we need the right people for the jobs, let's say he does and he'd take a paycut. Because he's really the only one possible.
