Deonna Purrazzo has called signing with AEW a "dream come true" after debuting on last night's first Dynamite of 2024.

The former IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion arrived after Mariah May's victory over Queen Aminata. May was indulging in microphone time with Renee Paquette after the bout, elated at her first AEW match's outcome - but showing dismay that it had to happen in New Jersey.

Purrazzo then arrived in her home state, confirming her 'All Elite' status, putting a target on Women's World Champion Toni Storm, and sending Mariah out of the ring after May through the first blow.

The Virtuosa's AEW arrival has been cemented the usual way, via Twitter/X:

An IMPACT Wrestling mainstay since May 2020, Purrazzo became a free agent on 1 January, though she wasn't without a contract for long. Yesterday, Fightful Select reported that Deonna had held talks with AEW, which was described as her "preferred landing spot", though there was no indication that a deal had been struck at that point.

WWE had previously been in contact with Purrazzo too, though this came at a time when the market leaders had tabled free agent discussions until the new year.
