Drew McIntyre Says He Doesn't Want To "Muddy" This Possible WWE Story

Undisputed WWE Universal Title challenger Drew would happily sit this one out.

Drew McIntyre has suggested he'd willingly opt out if WWE fancied booking him as "a third wheel" in a long-rumoured Roman Reigns vs. The Rock feud.

McIntyre told WWE Espanol that both Roman and Rocky should "do their own thing", and that he doesn't "want to muddy the story". Never one to miss a beat though, Drew also stated that the pair's clash would be "a big enough match without the titles".

Was that yet more build for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title showdown McIntyre has with Roman come Clash At The Castle? What a sly dog! Of course, it's in Drew's best interests to talk up his chances of leaving Cardiff with Reigns' belts.

It's cool that McIntyre wouldn't want to encroach on Roman vs. Rock though. He's fully aware just how hotly-anticipated that bout would be, and knows turning it into a Triple Threat for WrestleMania 39 could spoil everything.

WWE surely wouldn't do that anyway - if Triple H and Stephanie McMahon can clear Dwayne Johnson's Hollywood schedule next spring, then they'll surely want him to collide with Reigns solo. That's a money match for sure.
