Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

1. Derek Thompson/Tooth Fairy - Tooth Fairy

Screen Shot 2013-03-29 at 09.47.11 Since Tooth Fairy, Johnson has yet to return to child orientated movies, which can only be a great thing. The Rock was born to be an action star, not to be the lead in a shoddy Disney movie, that wouldn't even amuse a three year-old. Johnson's charisma can make even some of the worst movies remotely watchable, but Tooth Fairy was beyond saving as The Rock inadvertently descends into self-parody and the painful script does nobody any favours. The movie, and Johnson's performance is hammy and awkward and a shameful waste of its star and a decent supporting cast that includes Billy Crystal, Julie Andrews and Seth MacFarlane. It's hard to describe just how awful Tooth Fairy is, there is just so much wrong with it including Johnson's performance which appears to be from a different movie entirely. Thankfully, Tooth Fairy appears to have sealed the coffin lid on Johnson's exploits into child entertainment.
