EC3 Reveals Original Plans For Moose Rivalry
EC3 spills the details in new Sean Ross Sapp interview.
Upon his return to Impact Wrestling this past summer, EC3 embroiled in a rivalry with the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Moose, a rivalry which culminated in a cinematic showdown being won by the defending champion at Bound For Glory on October 24. According to 'The Essential Character', though, the original plans for the pair were a tad different.
Speaking to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, the former two-time World Champion noted that he had originally insisted on Moose venturing to EC3's secret location - the one we saw at Bound For Glory. The plan from there was for the two to have a straight-up fight, which 'Mr. Impact Wrestling' would walk away from the better man, transitioning into the version of Moose we've seen since 24 October.
A normal wrestling contest would then fill the place of their Bound For Glory contest, won by Moose, and EC3 fulfilling his prophecy of destroying his past.
It's worth pointing out that EC3 was actually quite happy with the end result, and the overall quality of the rivalry throughout. It seems the goal was always the same - it was merely a matter of filling the gaps between their original run-in on 21 July, and the final match.
EC3 has since departed Impact, but reports suggest the company are keen to ink him to a full-time contract.
