Edge Reveals Who Came Up With His "Glasgow Grin" Spot
No, Drew McIntyre had nothing to do with Edge's new chair-assisted crossface.

Time for a quick, 'Did You Know?'.
Edge revealed during an interview with Sports Illustrated that he didn't come up with that chair-assisted crossface spot he's been doing lately. No, it was actually Jey Uso who approached the legend and suggested he start using the "Glasgow Grin".
Jey explained what he meant, and Edge was off to the races. He hasn't looked back - the "Grin" has become the babyface icon's go-to spot during matches with Roman Reigns and The Usos since WrestleMania 37. It looks awesome, and it's all Jey's doing.
Edge said that it was "so cool to have such great minds collaborate about something we’re all so passionate about". He welcomed Uso's pitch with open arms. Thankfully, the 'Rated-R Superstar' has also gone with the "Glasgow Grin" name instead of using Jimmy Uso's crummy "Edgeface" suggestion.
That...well, that sucked, and nobody in WWE has mentioned it since Jimmy first said that on SmackDown a few weeks back. Michael Cole and Pat McAfee have stuck with the crossface approach on commentary (who knows if they'll make "Glasgow Grin" official soon).
WWE might be concerned that the name would clash with Drew McIntyre's "Glasgow Kiss" head butt over on Raw.
