Edge Says This WWE Wrestler Should've Ended The Undertaker's WrestleMania Streak
WWE icon Edge said no to ending 'Taker's WrestleMania streak, but he knows who should've...
Edge still thinks WWE should've held off on ending The Undertaker's iconic WrestleMania winning streak until Roman Reigns was ready to beat him.
The 'Rated-R Superstar' told Logan Paul's 'ImPAULsive' show that Roman was the right man to earn that honour and use it as fuel for a sustained main event push. Edge didn't go into details on his thoughts about Brock Lesnar ending the streak at 'Mania XXX, but he would've preferred Reigns over anybody.
Including himself.
Originally, Edge was in line to beat the streak at WrestleMania XXIV in 2008. When he caught wind of that backstage, the Canadian turned it down flat, and said he absolutely shouldn't take away one of WWE's "marquee attractions".
When asked why, Edge said he just didn't need to do it at that point in his career. He was already "a made man" in the promotion, and was super-over with fans. Ending 'Taker's legendary gimmick on the biggest show of the year would've been wasted on him.
Some fans believe to this day that it was wasted on Lesnar too, but...would Roman have been a better choice? Edge says yes.
