Eric Bischoff Claims He Is DONE Working In Wrestling Forever (WWE News)
Ex-WCW boss Eric Bischoff claims he is finished with wrestling for good.

Eric Bischoff claims he is finished working in wrestling for good, stating there is nothing left in the business "that's ever going to bring me fulfilment."
The former WCW executive's comments came during a recent episode of his long-running 83 Weeks podcast. When asked if he'd be interested in working for a hypothetical new wrestling project with disgraced former WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, Bischoff stated that he is done with wrestling, doubting that anything in the sport could make him as excited as he used to be.
“I realize now that there is nothing I could do in professional wrestling that’s ever going to bring me fulfilment,” Bischoff said (h/t WrestlingNews.co). “It’s just not because I’ve done it, and I’m proud of what I’ve done. Unless I can do something that could make me feel as excited as I felt back then about professional wrestling, I can’t do it. I just don’t have that desire to focus on that business any longer for Vince or anybody else.”
The rumours of McMahon plotting a potential wrestling return appear unfounded at the moment, with recent reporting suggesting that Vince is looking to create a new entertainment company instead. Nonetheless, Bischoff commented that if he "took a job like that, I would be taking it for the wrong reasons."
“As much as I respect it and am grateful for it, that period of my life is in the rearview mirror and I enjoy every time I look in the rearview mirror and see it," Eric added.
Bischoff was most recently involved with Major League Wrestling, where he was handed creative control for the 5 December 2024 'One Shot' event (which did not review well) and continued in a limited on-camera role for the next few months. On March 21, PWInsider's Mike Johnson reported that the Bischoff/MLW storyline had finished.
Recent years have seen Bischoff become better known for his strong criticism of Tony Khan and AEW, through 83 Weeks and other platforms, despite making cameos for the group in 2020 and 2021.
