Vince McMahon's New Wrestling Promotion Rumors: Everything You Need To Know (WWE News)
Those rumours of a new Vince McMahon wrestling promotion on Fox...

Having been forced to retire in disgrace from WWE twice, could Vince McMahon be making a return to the pro wrestling world?
Some have speculated that McMahon is looking to launch a new wrestling promotion that would air on Fox. As for the source of this speculation, that began with the latest episode of the 83 Weeks podcast where Eric Bischoff and Conrad Thompson discussed that particular topic. Per Thompson, he's heard that McMahon has held conversations with cameramen with prior experience of shooting pro wrestling, and he also added how Fox is rumoured to be reserving a spot to air that new promotion.
Shooting down such talk, The Athletic's Andrew Marchard reached out to a Fox spokesperson who denied any involvement from the network. As it was explained, whether McMahon is planning to start a new wrestling company is unknown right now, but Fox most certainly would not be involved.
Fox is obviously no stranger to pro wrestling, including being the home to SmackDown from 2019 until 2024. On top of that, WWE's upcoming Evolve show will air on the Fox-owned Tubi streaming service for audiences in the United States. Regardless of that history with wrestling, though, it looks like the network has zero interest in working with Vince McMahon - if indeed McMahon eventually does start up a new promotion.
As for Eric Bischoff and Conrad Thompson, they also added that one driving factor behind the rumblings that they've heard is how McMahon was in attendance at the Super Bowl earlier this month. Given how the Super Bowl was broadcast on Fox, seemingly some people are putting 2 and 2 together and erroneously taking this as a sign that Vince and Fox would be working together in the future.
In terms of what's next for the career of Vince McMahon, October saw it reported that McMahon was planning to launch an "entertainment hub company" that would develop and produce film and TV projects. It was stated at that time that McMahon didn't plan to compete with WWE and was not looking to produce any pro wrestling material.
McMahon is currently facing a lawsuit from former WWE employee Janel Grant alleging physical and emotional abuse, sexual assault, and trafficking. WWE and John Laurinaitis are named alongside McMahon as defendants in this case. The former WWE Chairman, his wife Linda, WWE, and TKO are also being sued by five survivors of the Ring Scandal of the 1980s and early '90s.
