Eric Bischoff has told listeners on his '83 Weeks' podcast that WWE's "creative process" will be "greatly enhanced" now that Vince McMahon has retired.

The former WCW boss and WWE employee wasn't sh*tting on McMahon's impact, but he does think Vince's stranglehold over the product had become "unbearable" in recent times. So, now that everyone is free from his whims, Bisch thinks "you’re going to see some incredibly talented people begin to do what they’re capable of doing".

Eric then went in-depth on why he has supreme respect for everything Vince has achieved as WWE overseer: "It’s hard to say these things without sounding disrespectful, and I don’t mean to because Vince’s process worked so well for Vince McMahon that WWE is now a five billion dollar public company!".

However, Bischoff believes McMahon's relentless approach became stifling, and he recalls sitting around waiting for hours and hours during his short stint as Executive Director on SmackDown in 2019. That wasn't fun, and it didn't exactly feed one's creativity when they were bored, tired or just plain grumpy.

Eric thinks WWE's creative future could be bright, and he's looking forward to seeing what happens next.
