Every AEW PPV Ranked From Worst To Best
7. All Out 2019
All Out 2019 proved that Double Or Nothing was no aberration - at the perfect time, since Fight For The Fallen suggested it might have been.
More than what had already become expected - world-class in-ring action that peaked with a creative, frightening Escalera de la Muerte stunt show with no visible wires whatsoever - the upstart promotion used its resourcefulness and philosophies to connect the more unexpected names to its audience.
People remembered Darby Allin's spirited draw opposite Cody at Fyter Fest and got behind him. He didn't win the outrageous Cracker Barrel Clash. He didn't have to. The trust had already been earned. Luchasaurus connected big with crowds at Double Or Nothing. He was rewarded with a killer spotlight performance in the opening trios banger. Shawn Spears was an also-ran in WWE, which concerned the few fans who weren't into the high-quality, reality-tinged storyline stemming from Fyter Fest. He was presented as a snivelling cheap shot artist on the njght, and not a significant threat, to inform the add-on-heavy fun of Cody's vengeance.
AEW pitched itself as the non-WWE company in May. By All Out, they had already evolved into the listening company.
