Every AEW PPV Ranked From Worst To Best
3. Revolution 2020
Highlighted by the greatest tag team match of all-time - the Young Bucks Vs. Kenny Omega and Hangman Page was at once the most layered and the most exciting story ever told - Revolution 2020 was stronger in vibe than in match quality, not that much of it wasn't incredible.
That tag was better than incredible, creating as much conflict in the audience as inside the ring.
The show itself was the perfect, triumphant pay-off to the best stretch of pro wrestling TV this century - at least until AEW resumed live touring in July of this year. But was February 2021 better? It was magic.
Jon Moxley won the World Title from Chris Jericho in a crazed, shortcut-laden brawl; Darby Allin finally bagged his breakthrough win in an ultra-violent sprint; Orange Cassidy lost to PAC but enchanted the crowd after teasing out the joy of his act for several, patient months; MJF and Cody's very good if unfocused brawl was very much committed in making a new top heel.
Nyla Rose Vs. Kris Statlander was doomed and rubbish, though Statlander was battling through flu. Dustin Rhodes kissed a woman without consent, and it was disastrous.
Beyond that, Revolution was the arrival of the version of itself that AEW promised. And they promised the world.
