Comedy in pro-wrestling is often mixed at best, but the Best Friends are an endearing faction headed by Orange Cassidy, who holds the power to divide people like no other figure in sports entertainment has. It comes down to how serious you take the art of pro-wrestling and the preservation of kayfabe. At the bare minimum, OC provides something new and novel in wrestling, an area of entertainment where it often feels like everything that could be done has been.

Regardless, Cassidy's rub has been advantageous to his stablemates. Chuckie T and Trent are a fun-loving but capable tag team, who often risk being left behind by the increase of new signings. Without OC's allegiance, they would likely be lost in AEW's ever-swelling ranks.

Statlander on the other hand was a compelling character upon her debut with the company. Skilled in the ring, with just enough quirk, she became an imminent threat to the Women's Championship. However, her promising start saw her sidelined with an ACL injury. In joining with the Best Friends on her return, she has quickly returned to where she left off and is a one-to-watch in AEW's women's division.
