Every Bullet Club Member Past & Present: Ranked From Worst To Best

4. AJ Styles

Balor Bullet Club
New Japan World

No Bullet Club member has ever tasted more individual NJPW success than AJ Styles. He immediately aligned himself with the group upon returning to the company in April 2014, and became IWGP Heavyweight Champion in his first match back. His reign lasted a shade over five months, but encompassed only two successful defences before Hiroshi Tanahashi took the gold in October.

AJ stayed in the spotlight, and took the title back in February 2015. His second reign stretched until July, and he remained Bullet Club's most prominent singles wrestler all the way through to his January 2016 departure, when a Kenny Omega-led assault pushed him out of the group (and the company).

Despite all this, Styles' Bullet Club run never felt 100% natural. He was a convincing heel, but it often seemed like he was being shoehorned into the stable, and it took several months for him to overcome the poor reception his return angle received. This prevents AJ from finishing higher on our list. Sure, he was probably the best wrestler in the world during his run with the stable, but those above him were much better fits.
