2. Prince Devitt

The man now known as Finn Balor was the original leader of Bullet Club, and the formative stages of the group revolved around him and his quest to prove himself in the main event scene of New Japan Pro Wrestling.

He was ultimately unsuccessful in winning the big prize, but for a while Devitt was one of the biggest stars in the entire country.

During this time Devitt had a 14-month reign as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, but it was his forays into the heavyweight scene that really pushed the envelope.

He was consistently assisted by his Bullet Club brethren during this time, but his ability was never in question.

Devitt eventually started to see the error of his heel ways, reconciling with his former tag partner Ryusuke Taguchi and thus feeling the wrath of the Young Bucks, seeing him kicked out of the group.

Despite being at the helm for just under a year, Bullet Club wouldn't be what it is without the work of Prince Devitt.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
