Maybe? Not a filmmaker, as I say, but just seems a bit obvious this one.

Don't have him there to effectively breastfeed Leading Man experience to Liam Hemsworth? Don't dirty his hands with a script that contains the line "we give our guys on the streets guns to shoot people who show up with other guns". Don't put him in a film about a heist and then call his character "Ransome".
