Lipstick on a pig, but phwoar, what a shade: there's a beautiful vibrancy to the red, white and blue, but it somehow doesn't clash with the more traditional black and gold colour palette.

The red and white stripes are engraved in full wave, and it's a lovely, nuanced touch connoting celebration and triumph in addition to pride. In theory, it's a very flashy title fit to represent the eye-catching, emerging midcard acts that hold it; in execution, WWE is arbitrary in determining who does hold it. It has enjoyed a pretty good run in 2019, stealing the odd undercard of certain pay-per-views, but the United States strap really could do with a strong, inspired reign, akin to John Cena's exceptional 2015 run, to restore it.
