Shawn Michaels is widely regarded to be the greatest WrestleMania performer in WWE history. As such it is little surprise that the best McMahon match at the Show of Shows features the Heartbreak Kid as Vince and Michaels put on a typically entertaining brawl at WrestleMania 22. Vince McMahon has never been Dean Malenko in the ring - but when it comes to putting together a high-profile plunderfest, there aren't many better.

McMahon is also known for his willingness to take quite frankly insane bumps in the name of entertainment (I wonder where Shane gets that from?), and Vince's insanity, allied with Michaels' big match pedigree and professional wrestling genius, made for the finest match in McMahon's WrestleMania career.

It ended with one of the most underrated spots in 'Mania history. Vince found himself prone on a table with a trash can carefully placed over his head and torso, leaving him helpless in the face of an oncoming Showstopper elbow from the, erm, Showstopper.

Sweet Chin Music came soon after. One of the most entertaining brawls in WrestleMania history was over. AJ Styles and Shane McMahon may well put on a match in just over a week's time that rivals this one, but for now, Shawn Michaels vs. Mr. McMahon represents the pinnacle of the McMahon Family's WrestleMania back catalogue.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
