2. Seth Rollins

It has been quite a while since Seth Rollins was in the World Title picture, and straying from it has hardly been a poor choice for him. As a babyface champion, he was not received well by fans, but seeing him play around with his character outside of the main event has given him a new lease on life. Still, he's a proven main event talent, so WWE could reasonably opt to grant him this accolade.

To see why Rollins is a likely choice, you need only look at his past. When he first captured the briefcase, he kept it around for some time, essentially turning himself into an insurance option for the company, which they eventually cashed in after concerns about the reaction to Roman Reigns. Now, he's in a very similar position, as he could be a dependable back-up option to take the title off of someone without damaging their booking.

Again, seeing him win might not be the result fans are looking for, but it would make a tonne of sense. WWE has successfully pulled similar tricks before - such as giving the briefcase to Sheamus (2015) or The Miz (2020) after changing their mind with Otis - so it's certainly on the cards.
