Every 'Next Big Thing' In Wrestling History: Where Are They Now?

2. Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker was the Next Big Thing of the revamped NXT 2.0.

He was pushed heavily and best represented the shift away from the kick pad-clad books and trunks workrate dude of the dismal, glorified EVOLVE that was the Capitol Wrestling Center “era” of “Black and Gold”.

In fact, Bron was antithetical to the Triple H Guy when Paul Levesque allegedly lost power (the true extent of any rumoured demotion will likely never be revealed). Bron wore colourful attire, probably didn’t know what a ‘PWG’ was, and was an explosive rudimentary ass-kicker. Boasting the best spear in years and years, Breakker was exposed, if you can call it that - he had barely wrestled - when he wasn’t great at conveying pain nor emotion in one too many Goldberg 2003 matches.

He was incredible as the explosive hot tag and bashfully enthusiastic dudebro in the WoldDogs tandem with Baron Corbin, and as a heel on Monday Night RAW is killing people to awesome effect.

Also going in his favour: the Undertaker kicked his ass last year, which in the deranged world of WWE means they like Bron a great deal.
