The biggest pop of the entrant reveals came right at the end, when shockingly, Kota Ibushi announced his return to the company. Setting aside the Tiger Mask W gimmick, at least for now, Kota will be back, mixing it up with old rivals like Tanahashi, Naito, and of course, Golden Lovers teammate Kenny Omega.

This year's G1 was in absolutely no need of any added hype, but Kota's return has sent the hype train into overdrive. Everyone is clamouring for an Omega/Ibushi showdown, and if they aren't in the same block, that could be a final of epic proportions.

Ibushi is already a top-tier talent, but the excitement surrounding his inclusion in the tournament could give him that extra boost to send him to the main event of the Tokyo Dome.
