Every WCW Halloween Havoc Ranked Worst To Best
8. 1992
This was where the Spin The Wheel, Make The Deal gimmick first came to life, with Sting wrestling Jake 'The Snake' Roberts in the main event. It was a big disappointment. Their Coal Miner's Glove match turned out to be one of the most maligned bouts from this period of WCW, and stands as a bottom-tier On A Pole match without the hilarity of, say, Judy Bagwell on a Forklift. Still, watching Roberts trying to coax a snake that clearly couldn't be arsed into biting him in the face afterwards is worth a laugh.
Most of the good stuff comes in the pay-per-view's first hour. Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat vs. Brian Pillman and Steve Austin/Steve Williams vs. Barry Windham/Dusty Rhodes are as strong as you'd expect, even if the latter suffered from overbooking towards the end.
Watch Masa Chono vs. Rick Rude at your peril, though. This was the kind of bout that'll make your soul leave your body. The duo looked like they were wrestling in molasses, working no fire, heat, or story into an utterly boring stallfest of no merit whatsoever. Avoid at all costs.
The rest of the show isn't particularly notable.
