Every WrestleMania 36 Match Ranked From Worst To Best
15. Last Man Standing: Edge Vs. Randy Orton
Result: Edge finally keeps Orton down for the count with a Conchairto (36:35).
Rating: This was easily the most disappointing and frustrating match of the entire weekend, and it's tough to imagine either man being happy with the end result.
As fun as it was to get a tour of the Performance Center, the molasses-slow pacing really killed this one, especially without a crowd to mask the absolute tedium of the counting sequences.
You also have the question the sense of WWE having one wrestler try to strangle another with gym equipment the week after a prominent Chris Benoit documentary aired, but whatever.
Clearly this needed to be cut down heavily in post-production, because almost 40 minutes made it a soul-sapping slog.
Perhaps a cinematic style would've worked better, because aside from the chainlink fence elbow drop in the PC's main office, there was little creative or even basically interesting on offer here.
At least the brutal ending was decent enough. 4/10
