Every Wrestler Who Defeated John Cena For The WWE Title (And How They Did It)

1. Edge

With three separate title victories over John Cena (including two pinfalls over 'The Champ'), there was nobody better at taking titles from 'The Face That Runs The Place' than Edge.

Famously cashing in the first ever 'Money In The Bank' briefcase at January 2006's 'New Year's Revolution' Pay-Per-View, Edge would spear Cena out of his Elimination Chamber World Title defence at 'No Way Out' in February 2009, then regain his beloved big gold belt later in the year when the two battled it out under Last Man Standing rules at April's 'Backlash' event.

Their era-defining 2006 feud rendered several high profile intense Pay-Per-View skirmishes, but Edge was only able to dethrone Cena once, even though he was able to beat Cena when defending his title.

His Chamber victory was shocking in and of itself, in that Edge was an unannounced entrant into the six-man war, having lost his WWE Title in the opening contest of the Pay-Per-View just hours earlier.

The pinfall over Cena in that guaranteed a new titleholder would be crowned at the close of the Chamber contest, and marked one of 'Big Match John's shortest nights as a defending champion.
