21. Grizzled Young Veterans
Technically, Zack Gibson and James Drake were anything but the Grizzled Young Veterans when they finally negotiated dual WWE releases in September. Both had been members of Schism on NXT and had been renamed The Dyad during segments with Joe Gacy.
Neither particularly enjoyed that spot, so much so that the GYV had initially requested their releases earlier in the year. WWE said no, and that was that...until September. Following a brief cooling off "no compete" period, the Vets announced they were free to take indy bookings from October onwards.
The Brits are one hell of a tag-team, one blessed with old school sensibilities.
